Wastewater
The City of LaFayette operates a 1.0 MGD Activated Sludge Plant. The LaFayette Millcreek Wastewater Treatment Plant treats waste for a population of approximately 4,600 people extending beyond the city limits and into the Police Jurisdiction. The treatment process at the LaFayette Millcreek Wastewater Treatment Plant consists of sedimentation and disinfection.
The collection system consists of eight major lift stations. The collection system is made up of a pipe network that spans approximately 250 miles, consisting of PVC as well as clay pipes.
